Rest on Sunday? Whatever! Sundays are typically my busiest day for training clients and teaching classes. In that mix I somehow manage to get a workout in. Today’s weather added an extra challenge to the mix (hot, humid, very high pollen). Here’s today’s workout:
Evil Cat II
Use a moderate to heavy kettlebell (I used 20kg)
1/2 mile run
50 Primitive KB swings
50 Holy flippin’ goblet squats
50 High KB swings
50 Primitive KB swings
1/2 mile run
This took me 31:45 (nothing worth bragging about), since running is not my fastest activity given the weather conditions this early in the season. My goal next time is to get it done in under 29:00.
All exercises use a kettlebell. You could use a dumbbell, but you will likely look like an idiot and very awkward.
Contact me about purchasing the appropriate size kettlebell for you.
The ‘country club’ version of this workout has only a 400 meter run/sprint at the beginning and end. My most advanced client performing this version finished in 14:45. Use a lighter bell if you are a beginner, otherwise suck it up buttercup. Enjoy!
I would love to hear your results when you try this workout. Shoot me an email or post on my twitter or facebook.
